Market Swine

  1. Barrows and Gilts are eligible to be shown.

  2. Health papers can be requested at any time.

  3. Only bedding allowed is shavings or sand.

  4. Feeding: Swine can be fed in the pen, but all food and water must be removed after       each feeding.

  5. Classes will be determined by weight by the swine superintendent.

  6. Minimum weight is 200 pounds, maximum weight is 270.

  7. Animals with parasites will not be allowed on fair grounds

1:00 pm to 6:00 pm- Enter Exhibits in building
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm- Livestock weigh in and packet pickup 
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm- Poultry and Rabbit check in

Thursday, August 22, 2024
8:00 am weigh backs 
9:00 am mandatory exhibitor meeting
10:30 am Poultry show
Rabbit show following
1:00 pm Pet show
2:00 pm Goat show and showmanship
4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Enchilada dinner
5:00 pm Steer and Heifer Show and showmanship

Friday, August 23, 2024
8:00 am Swine show and showmanship
Lamb show and showmanship following
Pee Wee Livestock Show
1:00 pm Goat Roping in Show Ring
4:00 pm Ranch Rodeo
7:00 pm Open Ranch Bronc Riding OR immediately following Ranch Rodeo
8:00 pm to Midnight Dance

8:30 Awards Ceremony

10:00 am Livestock Sale
Followed by BBQ Lunch  
2:00pm Junior Rodeo
5:00 pm all livestock and indoor exhibits released

6:00 Goat Roping
8:00pm to Midnight Dance

 

Sunday, August 25, 2024
9:00 am Catron County Fair Team Roping

There will be a pancake breakfast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning 6:00 to 9:00 am
Various concessions will be available throughout the fair weekend
